Magenta Labs, LLC is the controller for LocalPing. Our registered address is 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, USA, and our operating address is Am Südufer 6, 41065 Mönchengladbach, Germany.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us through the WhatsApp contact shown on this website and state that your message concerns privacy.

2. Data we process

Depending on how you use LocalPing, we process your name, phone number, WhatsApp profile and messages; booking details such as city, venue, date, time, party size and special requests; communications with the relevant business; payment status, transaction reference and refund information; and technical data such as IP address, device, browser, timestamps and security logs.

Stripe processes your payment-card information. LocalPing does not receive or store your full card number.

3. Sensitive data

Please do not send diagnoses, medical records, identification documents or other sensitive data unless we specifically request the minimum information necessary for your booking. If sensitive data is genuinely required, we will seek explicit consent or identify another lawful basis before processing it.

4. Why we process data and our legal bases

We process data to review and fulfill your request, communicate with you and the relevant business, take payment and issue refunds, provide support, prevent misuse, secure and improve the service, keep business and tax records, and comply with law.

For people in the EEA, our legal bases are performance of a contract or steps requested before a contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting LocalPing, and consent where we specifically ask for it. You may withdraw consent at any time for future processing.

5. Who receives data

We share only what is reasonably necessary with the business or service provider involved in your request. We also use service providers including WhatsApp/Meta for messaging, Stripe for payments and fraud prevention, and Cloudflare for website delivery, security and image hosting.

We may disclose data to professional advisers, authorities or other parties where required by law, necessary to protect rights or safety, or connected with a business reorganization. We do not sell personal data.

6. International transfers

LocalPing serves requests across countries and uses providers operating internationally. Data may therefore be processed outside your country, including in the United States and, when necessary for a request, Mainland China. Where required, we rely on adequacy decisions, approved contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.

7. Retention

We keep request and communication records only as long as reasonably needed to provide support, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet accounting, tax and other legal obligations. Retention periods depend on the type of data, the status of the request and applicable law. We delete or anonymize data when it is no longer required.

8. Website data and cookies

The current LocalPing website does not use advertising cookies or behavioral analytics. Cloudflare may process basic connection and security logs needed to deliver and protect the website. If we later add optional analytics or marketing technologies, we will update this Policy and request consent where required.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. No online service is completely secure, so please send only the information needed for your request and never send full card details or passwords through WhatsApp.

10. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy of data, and withdraw consent. You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where the law requires it or where it is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

11. Children

LocalPing is not directed to children and may only be purchased by people aged 18 or older. Do not submit a child's personal data unless it is necessary for a legitimate booking and you are authorized to provide it.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
